Fried Chicken

Here is a quick and easy recipe to achieve that ever popular deep fried chicken in delicious golden jackets.

Ingredients:

2-3 lbs of Chicken
1 tsp of Poultry Seasoning
2 Cups of Flour
2 tsp of Salt (To Taste)
1 Cup of Milk
Vegetable Oil
1 Brown Paper Bag
1 tsp of Pepper (To Taste)
1 Egg
1 tsp of Curry Powder
Barbeque Sauce (Optional)

Instructions:

Make the chicken as lean as possible by removing the fat, and rinse thoroughly. Soak pieces of chicken in vinegar and water for around 30 minutes. Mix up the seasonings with the flour inside the paper bag, pinch the top and shake well. (Note: dry hands first, otherwise bag will go soggy and tear). Crack the eggs into a bowl, add the milk and mix together. Take the chicken pieces and one by one, dip them first into the egg mixture, then put them inside the paper bag to coat them with the flour/seasoning mixture. Place them to one side and allow them to dry for ΒΌ of an hour. Put enough vegetable oil into a deep frying pan to submerge chicken pieces in, and heat up the oil. Once the oil is hot, place the chicken pieces into the frying pan and fry until they have achieved a golden brown color, covering them for the last 10 minutes. Once done, remove from pan and allow them to cool for a while before serving with barbeque sauce.
